Springboard for Adventure
We wander for distraction, but we travel for fulfilment
So much time, so much to do! We open our home to those who want to live like a local and take advantage of all the activities on our doorstep. Whether you want to step into Outlander, visiting its castles and towns; play world famous golf courses dotted about our beautiful coast; or walk, hill walk, cycle around lochs and towns; surf, sail, kayak. The choice is yours. Or mix it up!
Having a good, reliable base gives tour operators peace of mind. And blocking out month(s) at a time is more cost effective, and far less administrative heavy, than managing multiple bookings across venues. Just let us know when your guests leave, so we can prepare and WOW your next guests!

Tour operators – why not reach out and see how it works?
The local area’s a family friendly place with a wide range of activities to keep you busy or to help you relax… We have a variety of tranquil walks on Falkland Estate, through woods, hills and streams. Children will enjoy spying for red squirrels and deer in the forest. Further afield there are Scottish coos and even Puffins on the Isle of May!
Along the coast, there are a number of walks through old fishing villages and towns, rocky and sandy beaches.
Try lunch at Muddy Boots, Loch Leven Larder, the Boathouse Loch Leven and Pillars of Hercules, just voted the best organic farm cafe in all of the UK. The Courthouse in Kinross makes delicious Wood fired pizza or – better yet – why not fire up a barbecue and roast marshmallows at Tentsmuir Forest?
On land, children will love horse and pony riding/lessons at Barbarafield Riding School, who cater for all abilities and children from the age of 5. At sea, they’ll enjoy all sorts of family outdoor activities, including canoeing with East Neuk Outdoors or Elie Watersports.
Scrumptous Organic Food and Drink
‘The best organic farm cafe in the UK’ is just down the road. Although everything’s organic, vegan and some gluten-free, their home-baking is VERY popular with everyone, even to non-vegetarians.
Sporting and Outdoor Adventures
Where to start? Let’s begin on land… Cyclists and walkers regularly venture here. Cyclists enjoy a network of cycling routes across the whole of Fife and great track around Loch Leven, Kinross. Hillwalkers and paragliders enjoy Falkland estate, including East Lomond Hill, West Lomond Hill, and a little further afield Bishop Hill. On a warm day, there’s much more than birdsong and sun in the air!
Coastal walks include Tentsmuir Forest and Dunes, Kingsbarns and Cambo Circuit, Fife Coastal Walk, Elie Chain Walk, Isle of May and more. There are some really nice spots for a range of watersport activities. Venture to Blown Away, East Neuk Outdoors and Elie Watersports to canoe, kayak, windsurf, SUP, sail, waterski or just pitch up at St Andrews beach or Elie and give it a go!
SkyDive St Andrews offers everything from beginner tandem jumps to accelerated freefall lessons.
And, of course, let’s not forget golf. So many courses, so many days!
